Team coaching supports the collective leadership of groups. Partnership coaching is for those who share a business. Which one is right for you?

WORKING TOGETHER AS ONE

There are exceptional teams where all members are committed to a shared purpose, their connection is so strong that they can face any challenge. We see them more often in sports than in the workplace. The level of trust and respect they hold for each other’s unique contribution is palpable, and their performance is stellar: They perform as one entity.

BELONGING: A VITAL NEED

BELONGING: A VITAL NEED

What if we had this kind of teamwork at work?
A team rarely fails for lack of talent. High-performing teams dedicate time and energy to develop to their fullest potential. A coach supports and guides them to be and work at their best. Team coaching provides a unique opportunity to develop both individual and collective skills, competences, intelligence, and the unique creative leadership of the system.

What is team coaching?

Team coaching is the competitive advantage every team should have. Like individual coaching, it is result-driven. It is a transformational shared experience within the context of the team’s present challenges. Shifts are amplified by learning and practising together, whilst the team applies learned skills and new behaviour to their day-to-day goals.

How does it work?

The coach maintains a focus not on the individuals, but on the whole team as ‘a system’, holding a mirror for the team to become aware of itself as a whole. As the process unfolds hidden dynamics are revealed, and if toxic, gradually acknowledged and eventually resolved.

The coach holds the team as naturally creative, resourceful and whole — helping them to tap into their own collective reservoir of creative intelligence, talent, and strength. In fact, one of the premises of team coaching is to 'work with what is working’: Focusing on the strengths and the positive to improve what is not functioning -- yet.

By working with the team’s agenda, the coach tackles real challenges that emerge from the team at work. The process might involve training the team in the necessary skills needed to perform at its best and effectively achieve its goals.

How can it benefit my team?

As the focus shifts to being whole as ‘we’, the team strenghtens its collective intelligence and leadership, also resulting in a redefinition of their team agreement. What emerges is a united purpose and mission: a new set of accepted and unaccepted behaviour; clarity on how conflict should be handled; a self-defining process to co-create a new vision for growth - with a set of new attitudes, beliefs and behaviour. Research has shown that team coaching increases both positivity and productivity by an average of over 20%.

THRIVING IN A DESIGNED PARTNERSHIP

How solid is your partnership?

A successful partnership is transformative on all levels; professionally and personally for the partners, as well as for the business at large. Its energy fosters positive workplaces and cultures.
Partners support one another, respecting the unique contribution each makes while playing to their individual strengths. They also honour each other’s dreams.
They are committed to making their relationship work because they simply understand that the success of their business depends on it.
They’ve learned how to reconcile their differences, and productively work to resolve conflict when it arises. They are able to navigate change and uncertainty, aligning during difficult situations and continuing to learn from challenges and from one another. Does this sound like your partnership?
Unfortunately, for many partners, this is far from reality.

What if your partnership could thrive by design?

Leading and sharing a business together is undoubtedly very challenging, as the circumstances within and around ourselves shift constantly. Even the best partnerships can become toxic and run amok if left unattended, with dramatic consequences. Fortunately rewarding partnerships do exist and they are the result of constant attention, care and design.

Partnership coaching supports you in creating the time and the space for designing your partnership in a conscious and intentional way, when:

  • Forging a new partnership to build a strong foundation

  • Emboldening an existing one to move further ahead

  • Resolving amicably one that isn’t working any more

Partnership coaching is based primarily on organisations, relationships, systems (teams) coaching, combined with mediation and strategic consulting as needed.

If you’re dreaming of beginning, strengthening or leaving a partnership positively, and want to learn more, please connect.

“When I started the coaching with Roberta I was longing for more clarity on my personal and professional goals; clarity on how to structure the company and achieve bigger challenges; how to make the agency more independent from me; how to create space to focus on my own personal research and projects.
Initially the coaching started as personal but soon after Roberta suggested team coaching involving my other three partners. Through team coaching the four of us discovered we weren’t aligned as we thought, both on what we already achieved together as well on our next goals. Personal lives tend to get complicated as you grow older, and fine-tuning your work and career becomes more and more important.
Roberta deeply understands our job and challenges as she herself has been part of the industry for many years, owned and led her own agency. She helped us in a very efficient way by mixing coaching and consulting when required. We succeeded in clarifying our personal aspirations while making sure they’d be useful to the team and the company.
We cleaned up our relationship from useless habits and finally designed a process, a structure, and acquired a set of new tools to support our teams towards autonomy.
We feel now more relaxed. We understood that everything can be handled with more consciousness, that the right practices can accelerate change, that the ability to adapt quickly is so important in these times of rapid evolution.
This was for sure the best investment of time and money we could do in a stormy year like this 2020 has been. This kind of process is an absolutely necessary practice for every company based on human interactions. Roberta was the right person for us, calm and determined, she is capable of driving you towards your inner higher self with a mix of professionalism and human skills. Having a coaching session with her in my busy schedule made my day already worth it.’

“For the repositioning of our Japanese brand in the US, Roberta worked very closely with both our teams in Japan and USA. Her research included thorough interviews to our leadership team members and many of our employees. Those interviews, her research, and workshops, have proven to be instrumental to bring awareness into the core of our company, as well as the cultural differences among the two teams. Her commitment, unique psychological approach, and strategic insight throughout the entire process were reassuring. She gained a deep understanding of our strengths, drivers, and identified strategic opportunities; she helped us to reconcile differences while building consensus. We rediscovered a common purpose: The very essence of our company.
Thanks to her, our global executive team has become stronger than ever. It was a pleasure working with her, and we greatly appreciated her knowledge, talent, and dedication."
